On November 7th, the community of Van Derveer School thoroughly enjoyed the third annual Star Party! Stargazers young and old alike learned about our solar system in Starlab, the Portable Planetarium. Thanks to a clear night sky, students, parents, and community members were able to utilize giant digital telescopes to view mountains and craters on our moon! They were also able to view the planet Jupiter and its moons. Maschio’s Food Service creatively provided star themed treats for all stargazers to enjoy! It was a fantastic event that promoted a unique learning experience for all, while helping to build community relationships. In case you missed it, on the top of this blog you can view the history of NASA video that was played during our Star Party. Thank you to all who attended this event and helped make it an OUT OF THIS WORLD experience!
